In 2024, Latvijas Banka intends to issue five collector coins, as well as one 2 euro commemorative coin and one circulation coin set.

The collector coins will be dedicated to the following topics relevant to Latvia:

  • a coin dedicated to Marta Staņa;
  • a coin dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Ethnographic Open-air Museum of Latvia;
  • a coin dedicated to Vilis Plūdonis;
  • a coin dedicated to the theme of energy;
  • a coin selected as a result of an open art competition.

In 2024, a 2 euro commemorative coin dedicated to the theme of himmeli will be issued in souvenir cards (in Brilliant Uncirculated quality) and rolls (in circulation quality).

This year, a circulation coin set dedicated to the theme of himmeli (in Brilliant Uncirculated quality) will be issued.

The issue dates will be announced shortly before the coins are available for purchase. The new coins will be available for purchase only on the website www.e-monetas.lv on the issue dates. The coins available for purchase for a longer period can be purchased in person at the Cashier's Office of Latvijas Banka at Bezdelīgu iela 3.
